MTV Video Music Awards 2011 Nominations
Katy Perry leads pack the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards nominations. The pop princess scores 9 nominations, followed by fellow Pop star Adele and Kanye West who each earn 7 nods, MTV announced today. Perry’s nods include Video of the Year and Best Female Video for “Firework,” Best Pop Video for “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),” and Best Special Effects for her futuristic chart-topping hit “E.T.” featuring Kanye West. 

Meanwhile, Kanye West picked up seven for his collaboration with Perry, as well as for “All of the Lights” and “POWER.” Adele’s year keeps getting better. The vocal powerhouse, who has the current best-selling album of 2011, garners seven nominations for her soulful smash “Rolling in the Deep.”
